Rain, rain go away!! Was our song of choice this morning, as we sat together during circle time. But as the rain continued to pitter patter on the window, we decided to embrace the ambiance and relax as the children painted to the sounds of “Rock-a-bye Baby Radio” on Pandora. The children were very quiet as they worked on their music inspired masterpieces.

Welcome Back!!

We hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Today in music Mr. Jason took the children down to the pumpkin patch, where they met “Tiny the Dinosaur”. Tiny wanted to play the rhythm sticks with the children, but his arms were to short. It was very funny!! The children also played the egg shakers and danced to the song “Bop Till You Drop”. See you again soon.

How was your day?? This week the children have been learning about different categories of instruments, such as string instruments, brass instruments and percussion instruments. Today we played music and formed the Toddler Two Rhythm Band. It was lots of fun!!

This month the children will be exploring Musical/Rhythmic intelligence. To kick off our theme, we asked the children to share what they knew about music???

Zach- Mr. Jason plays music.

Simone- Music makes us dance.

Raleigh- Instruments make music.

As the discussion continued the children found out that their bodies made music too, as we clapped, tapped, stomped and made sounds with our mouths…which

is also an instrument.
