We worked on the days of the week lesson in the science area, reviewing the names of the seven days of our week. We learned that our week starts on Sunday but our school week starts Monday.

The children worked on their fine motor skills with a boot perforation square that we used for an art project.

Reminder:

There will be no Splash Day this Friday, July 1, 2016. We will be celebrating the 4th of July, please wear red, white, and blue.

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend.

We went on a bear hunt in music class. The children had a great time climbing, marching, rowing, swimming, tiptoeing, running, and taking pictures of the “bear”. The children had fun singing and dancing along with Mr. Jason and his friend spider.

We reviewed the three things a seed needs to grow: air, water, and light and the parts of a seed: seed coat, seed leaf, embryo, and radicle.

Did you know that a paint can and a paint brush go together?

We worked in the language area with our go together lessons. We matched pictures cards of objects that go together like a fork and a plate; a cow and a glass of milk; an umbrella and rain boots; and flowers and a vase.

The children had a great time playing hockey with Coach Adrienne in Jumpbunch class. Our fun is sure to continue this afternoon in Arts Alive class and the adventure that awaits us.

Bubbles! Bubbles! Bubbles!

We presented the bubble making lesson in our practical life area today. The children were eager to work the lesson to see how many bubbles they could make in the bowl using soap, water, and a whisk.

Dance class was canceled this morning. We will post when a make-up date has been scheduled.
