This morning we read the book: Bogart and Vinnie about a rhino and a dog who become best friends even though they are different.

We used our visual sense of form as we worked with the constructive triangle box in the sensorial area. The children used different colored and size triangles to construct equilateral triangles.

We read the book Germs! Germs! Germs! and learned germs are everywhere and they love to make us sick. We also learned that there are ways to stop the germs but the best way is to wash our hands with soap and water.

The children had a fun time in Jumpbunch playing with the dyna-bands. The children played a listening game jumping, jogging, walking, and standing on, in front, and behind the dyna-bands.

Today we worked on numeration (1-10) with snowflake quantity counting cards. The children counted snowflakes on individual cards and clothes pinned the correct numeral on each card.

We continued to learn about Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream of everyone getting along and being kind to one another. The children also talked about what their dreams are and wrote them on dream clouds. Take a look at their clouds posted on the front door.

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day to all.

Our class read a book about Dr. King and talked about his dream to have everyone be kind to each other. The children were excited to attend the MLK Parade that passed by our school. Everyone had a great time looking at the fire trucks, marching bands, cars, getting candy, and taking a picture with Elmo!

The children had a fun day showing off their silly hats. Our room was filled with sharks, monsters, animals, firemen, and colorful hats! A big thank you to our friend Smith who brought in extra hats for friends to wear.
