The children had a great time in music class yesterday. They enjoyed a visit from Tiny the Dinosaur, singing a friendship song, dancing to rock and roll music, and playing egg shakers while singing!

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend!
Do you know the three things a seed needs to grow? We read the book How a Seed Grows by Helene J. Jordan and learned that a seed needs air, light, and water to grow.
During our work cycle some of our friends worked on their order, coordination, concentration, and independence skills while working on lessons such as spooning, tonging, sorting, and transferring lessons in our Practical Life area.
Soccer Shots is tomorrow. Our class time is 9:00 a.m.

The children enjoyed reviewing the facts we learned about community helpers. They were surprised by all the jobs a firefighter does!
We worked on a community helper worksheet The children worked on a community helper worksheet, sharing which community helper they would like to be and what they would do.
The theme for our school year is Kids at Work! Attached to your child’s cubby is more information about the theme and a construction hat. The children are excited to wear their hats home!

Do you know what a firefighters wear to fight a fire? We read the book Let’s Meet a Firefighter by Gina Bellisario and learned that firefighters wear bunker gear to fight a fire as well as learning that firefighter has many jobs. A firefighter helps when there is a crash, floods, or if someone is in need of medical help. The children were excited to learn about firefighters!
In Jumpbunch the children played frog toss. Coach Luca brought in beanbag frogs and baskets for the children. They had a great time tossing them from close and far distances as well as playing on their own and with friends.
The children had a great time on our adventure in Arts Alive! We went on a cooking adventure tasting our favorite foods, making pizza, popping popcorn, drumming on containers, and boiling pasta!

Do you know who gives you shots when you visit the doctor’s office? We read the book Let’s Meet a Doctor by Bridget Heos and learned that a nurse gives you shots as well as learning that a doctor uses a otoscope to look in our ears.
We worked with our flag nomenclature lesson to help us review the parts and names of a flag. The children enjoyed reviewing the parts of a flag and were eager to make a flag booklet.
Today was or first little people chapel, the children met Father Art and Ms. KariAnn and enjoyed singing songs with them.
During our playtime the children were excited to discover a butterfly on our playground!
