This morning was our Mad Minute day. Mad Minutes is a timed math activity that the children look forward to each Wednesday. Ask your child how they feel they did this morning.

Book orders are due today.

Tomorrow is Jumpbunch and Arts Alive. Tennis shoes are the safest shoe for these classes.

I’m still working on taking pictures. The children are asked to come to school with their hair and teeth brushed. There is no need for special attire.

Friday is our Music make-up class.

To continue our education about caring for the Earth we learned about the names of Land Forms. The names we learned are, Island, Isthmus, Peninsula and Cape. I could tell that some children were familiar with the Land Form Peninsula. We also heard how their Dad explained what a Peninsula is to them. Yay, Parents for talking to your children about these things.

The word of the day in soccer shots this morning is Courage. Ask your child to tell you what this means.

Tomorrow is Chapel. This class begins at 10:30.

Happy Earth Day! This morning we talked about the importance of taking care of our Earth and enjoyed planting some wildflowers. The children were very excited about planting and are already eager to see them start growing.

To end our week of the Young Child, the children drew a portrait of themselves. We love how this activity unfolded. If you would like to take a closer look at your child’s drawing, they will be posted in our classroom soon.

We will continue to take pictures for our special graduation video on Monday. The children are asked to come to school with their hair and teeth brushed. No need for special clothes.

Happy Birthday to Ms. Teri. The Kindergarten children sang her a special Birthday song and gave her a sweet gift made with the children’s fingerprints as different types of sea life.
