This morning the children were introduced to simple fractions. We learned that fractions are equal parts of a whole. These are the fractions we are working with currently. 1, ½, 1/3 and ¼.

We have begun Love Notes! The items needed to write a note is found on the table underneath our Kindergarten Bulletin Board. Please remember to address the note with your child’s name.

Mr. Jason read us a book, Zin! Zin! Zin! A Violin in music class about a variety of instruments. Ask your child to tell you about this fun story.

Tomorrow is Soccer Shots. Tennis shoes are the safest shoes for this class.

This morning we learned that Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. Ask your child what this means.

Monday is music class. Music begins at 2:00.

Have you heard about Mad Minutes? The children are really enjoying this timed addition activity every Wednesday. They have 3 minutes to complete 30 addition problems. When they master that, they move to a new page for the next go around of mad Minutes. This is a great activity for speeding up problem solving skills.

During chapel, Ms. KariAnn read us a story called, Jesus Heals. Ask your child to tell you more about it.

Tomorrow is chapel. This class begins at 10:30. All February birthdays will be celebrated Feb. 7 for a special birthday prayer. Parents of children having a birthday in Feb. are invited to attend chapel.

This morning duringJumpbunch class the children practiced their coordination skills by playing Squish Ball. Each child had their own disk and ball then tried to bounce the ball on the disk 18 times. Ask your chilod if they were able to do that.

Book orders are going home today. They are due next week on the 23.
