Did he? Or Didn’t he?

That was the question on the children’s minds as we tried to find out if the groundhog saw its shadow. We discovered that it did and we will have six more weeks of winter. The children had fun trying to find their own shadows during recess and making groundhog masks.

Coach Leon brought in hula hoops for the children to roll, spin, and jump into. They had a great time!

Today we said good-bye to the month of January and welcomed in February. We talked about some of the fun activities that await us in the new month.

Did you know that tomorrow is Ground Hog Day?

Our class was a buzz with busy bees!

The children were busy working in all areas of the classroom. Friends worked on fine motor skills with tracing and coloring worksheets and perforation squares; phonetic sounds with sound boxes and picture to sound matching; and numeration with puzzles, counting spindles, color beads, and quantity work pages.

The children had a great time practicing their soccer drills during Soccer Shots.

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend.

We worked with the alphabet flash cards during circle time. We learned that each letter in the alphabet has a name and sound that they make.

Music class is this afternoon. We are looking forward to the singing and dancing fun Mr. Jason has in store for us.

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

We had a fun time celebrating Chinese New Year. The children had fun showing off their favorite pajamas and checking out their friend’s pajamas, coloring a dragon puppet, tasting eggrolls, and watching a video about the New Year(https://youtu.be/_u-R-aIq3_E ).

A big thank you to our friend Joanna and her mommy for our yummy morning snack of onut holes!
