As some of you might have noticed, we are working hard to become a NAEYC accredited school. We built a “NAEYC Corner” to the right of the front entrance that will keep you updated on our progress. It is under construction at the moment but we hope to fill it with more and more information as we proceed through this process. Stop by and check it out!! For more information visit their Facebook Page at http://www.facebook.com/NAEYC or their website at http://www.naeyc.org/

Happy Birthday Maria Montessori
Can you guess this Google Doodle? It’s in honor of Maria Montessori’s birthday!! The principles she instilled in her colleagues are the very principles we teach today. Throughout her life, her studies inspired people all over the world to adopt a different approach to teaching children. From all of us at Cathedral House, we would like to remember Ms. Maria Montessori and celebrate her life that started one hundred forty two years ago today. We are so grateful to her for all of her teachings and would not be here without her. Happy Birthday to a woman with an extraordinary legacy whose teachings live on through us!!
Celebrating Ms. Lupe
As many of you know, our beloved Ms. Lupe is retiring after 23 years. Her hard work and dedication has been evident throughout the years. We are going to miss her as the face of our school. To celebrate her time with us, we gave her a retirement lunch with the staff and parents to say our goodbyes and surprise her with gifts from all of the classes. We can only hope she will stop by and visit us in the years to come. Thank you so much for your continued desire to provide the best in what we do and we hope you will have an enjoyable retirement!!
