We are pleased to announce that we have received our 15 day window for our National Association for the Education of Young Children visit.  Our NAEYC Assessor will be visiting Cathedral House any time between Monday, June 10th and Friday, June 28th.  She will give us a phone call the day before she arrives and will spend 2 days assessing our classrooms and the paperwork we have compiled during our self study process.  Upon leaving Cathedral House, her paperwork will be submitted to the national office for review.  It could be up to 6 months before we hear the final word from the Academy but we will let you know as soon as we we get the call.

Cathedral House is pleased to announce that May 23, 2013 marks the 27th year of operating success for Metropolitan Montessori Schools!! With schools in the downtown area as well as on the Rice University campus, the MMS team has nurtured, developed and educated Houston’s young children throughout the years.  Cathedral House was established in 1986 in cooperation with Christ Church Cathedral and Rice Children’s Campus opened in the Fall of 2008. We look forward to celebrating many more years to come!! Happy 27th MMS!!

Today we are celebrating Earth Day!! It is important to teach our children about the influence we have on the limited resources from our planet. Some of the ways to raise awareness include picking up trash on the playground, recycling garbage at home, or planting a tree!!
