This morning the children enjoyed the nice sunshine during playtime. It sure feels like it’s been awhile since we got to enjoy it. Have a fun weekend and enjoy your family time together.

Happy Earth Day!! This morning during circle we read the book “The Lorax” as we introduced and planted seeds of inspiration, about being responsible and taking care of our earth. We later watched a short clip, about how trees are made into paper, and how we can recycle used paper ,so as to save future trees from being destroyed. See you next week.
Germination & Earth Day
This week we were focused on the Earth and ways to keep it clean and healthy. We read Michael Recycle by Ellie Bethel. We also look through our class and found the recycle symbol on some of the things in our class. Ms. Denise made earth day cupcakes for both Primary classes. And in the afternoon we are having dirt & worms (crushed oreos and gummy worms).
Along with our earth study we had a lesson on botany, the parts of the flower. we learned what the word germination means-the growing of the seeds. We observed tiny carrot seeds and planted them in our root planter. We are keeping our fingers crossed and hope that our seeds will sprout!

Hi!! We hope you’re staying dry. This morning while playing outside, the children were observing the flowers blooming on the magnolia tree. Which prompted a review about some of the signs of spring. When they came indoors, the children had a lesson on the parts of the flower and an opportunity to observe it’s parts.
