Happy Wednesday!!
This morning we had a small group lesson with the Sandpaper Letters. The children learn to recognize the shape and sound of the letter presented, as well as a beginning prelude to writing, as they trace each letter.

As we continue to study our monthly theme, We’re all a Bloom, we are also learning about foods we eat from plants and Healthy ‘eating. This morning the children worked with the food pyramid and we discussed Healthy food choices. Ask your child name some healthy food choices and where they would fit in the food pyramid.
Tomorrow is Jumpbunch and Arts Alive. Tennis shoes are the safest shoes for these classes.
Ms. Sherri will be out Thursday and Friday.

On circle we worked with a sequencing lesson from the math area. We sequenced picture cards of the lifecycle of a seed, a boy, a chick, and a turtle. We also learned that a boy turtle and a girl turtle are both turtles a baby turtle is a bale.
The children started working on color by number flower color sheets. The children are doing a great job recognizing the numerals and coloring.

We continued to work with our alphabet flashcards. We went over every letter and sound in the alphabet. The children were excited when we got to the sounds in their name and proudly let us know it was part of their name.
We also worked with a phonetic sounds lesson in the language area. We matched objects beginning with different phonetic sounds to the phonetic sound card it belonged with.
