Good Afternoon!!
This morning while the girls were at Dance class, the boys did great, working with their Montessori lessons quietly and independently. In the photo below, Parker is working with a one to one correspondence lesson found in the Math area. One to one correspondence simply means being able to match one object to another. He also worked on quantity and numeral recognition as well as organizational skills.

This morning during playtime the weather dampened our time on the playground. This gave the teachers the perfect opportunity to teach the children a new game called, Four Square. We improvised some of the rules of the game to make it best fit our children and the amount of children who were playing. Four Square is a great game for further developing eye/hand coordination, space awareness, self control and gross motor skills. Ask your child to tell you more about this game.
Tomorrow is Jumpbunch class. Tennis shoes are the safest shoes for this class.

Did you know that there are boys and a girl inside a flower?
We worked with the flower nomenclature lesson in the science area. We reviewed the names of some of the parts of a flower: corolla, calyx, stamen, and pistil. We discovered that the pistil is the girl part of the flower and the boys are called the stamen.
The children started working on a sticker nameplates. They are using small stickers to trace the letters in their names.
