This morning during circle time the children were introduced to addition with color beads. This lesson helps enforce addition skills, handwriting skills, recognition of numerals and prepares them for more advanced addition. Ask your child what it means to add. (put everything together and count it) This is an easy concept to practice with your child at home.
During Soccer Shots the children played a great game against each other. Their word of the day was Sportsmanship. They practiced sportsmanship with all the team’s players.

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend!
Did you know that each letter in the alphabet has a name and a sound? On circle we worked with the alphabet flash cards and said the name and sound for each of the letters. The children were very eager to share the sound their name makes.
We had a great time in music class. Mr. Jason s brought in a djembe drum that he played for us and then let us all have a turn playing. Ollie the Elephant came to visit and showed us how he plays the djembe drum and asked us to sing him a song.
