Good afternoon, parents! We would love to welcome and introduce you to the newest addition of our classroom… Her name is Flower and she is a guinea pig! The children were very intrigued and curious about the new pet. They love watching her eat and drink her water! You are more than welcome to come in and say hi to Flower.

This morning the children reviewed the metal inset lesson. This lesson in found in the handwriting area and helps further develop eye/hand coordination and fine motor control. Just take a look at the samples being shown that Sarah and Olivia did this morning.
The word of the day for Soccer Shots is Team Work. Ask your child what that means.
Tomorrow is yoga class and Chapel. Girls are encouraged to wear shorts under their dresses. Yoga begins at 9:00 and Chapel begins at 10:30.
We have set a specific day for show-n-tell. That day is Wednesday.

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend.
Did you know that a pumpkin grows on a vine? On circle we worked with the lifecycle of a pumpkin lesson in the science area. We discovered that a pumpkin grows from a seed into a seedling that grows into a vine that grow flowers that grow green pumpkins that turn into orange pumpkins.
The children had a great time in music class. They enjoyed visiting with Mr. Spider and singing and dancing along with him to songs about spiders. The children also enjoyed playing a name that tune game. Mr. Jason played songs on recorder that the children guessed.

This morning during work time the children enjoyed using their eye/hand coordination by hammering golf tees into a pumpkin. Yes, some children’s fingers or thumb’s did get hit. Luckily it was not hard enough for tears, just hard enough for an “OUCH.”
Music class was a lot of fun. Mr. Jason brought his puppet, Mrs. Spider to help sing fun Halloween songs and to find a Vampire during a Vampire hunt. Ask your child if they found a Vampire.
Tomorrow is Soccer Shots. Tennis shoes are the safest shoes for this class.
