Did you know what a baby bat is called?
We continued to discuss bats and learned that baby bats are called pups. We worked with the bad nomenclature lesson and learned the names of some of the parts of a bats body. We discovered that bats have thumbs!
The children also enjoyed watching a video about three facts about bats:
The children had a great time in Jumpbunch and Arts Alive class.
Reminder: Fall Festival is tomorrow! Parade starts at 4:15p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Today we read Night Song by Ari Berk about a bat. We learned that bats are nocturnal which means they are awake during the night. We also learned that bats have a special sense called echolocation that helps them “see” in the dark by hearing back(echo) the sounds they made.
We had a visit from Flower the guinea pig, who is a new pet in the Toddler One class. The children were given a choice to pet Flower.
