We have had a busy week! We’ve been practicing our moves for the holiday program, working on a few class projects and we wished Ms. Mandolyn well on her move back to Arizona.
Today we had the pleasure of having Mrs. Claus’ read our class a story.

This month in the midst of all our December festivities, we will be learning about holiday celebrations in other parts of the world. Today the children had a visit from Sinterklaas or St Nicholas.
Sinterklaas or Saint Nicholas Day is celebrated on December 6th in many European countries. On St Nicholas eve the children place their shoes by the hearth with a treat of hay and carrots for SinterKlaas trusted horse. When they wake in the morning, they find that the carrots are gone, and that Sinterklaas has filled their shoes with small toys and sweets.
